NaNoWriMo - This is Where I Write
I am planning on entering NaNoWriMo; for anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's National Novel Writing Month.
A friend on Twitter (@carocat) tweeted that she was entering and I decided to investigate further. NaNoWriMo is a really great concept where you sign up, and aim to write a novel in a month, from November 1st to Midnight on November 30th. Anyone can participate, they just need to write something. As the website says, it's about "quantity, not quality" and on this basis it means you force yourself to stop worrying about your writing and just aim for that 50,000 word limit.
Anyway, I am now involved. As it stands I have written approximately 500 words and counting. I got the idea to post a picture of the place where I write from the NaNoWriMo Blog. Previous entrants and authors post photo's of the places they go to write. Above is mine.
I'll take a look at some of the terms/conditions, and if I can, I'll post progress updates on my novel throughout the month. My thinking is that if I can get people reading it, on November 29th I want to ask the community to name it. Then I'll post the novel in it's entirity, including the ending, which I hope none of you will see coming.
